Voter? Got Info? Elections, One Week To Go!

In about one week, municipalities throughout St Charles County will be electing aldermen, voting on tax bills, and watching politicians nash teeth. That includes Wentzville!!

How better to nervous-up a few more politicians than to ask voters for any and everything they think they know about their elected officials - or just ask some questions.

If you suggest something (or know something) good we might send it out with our print edition this coming week. We already have an extremely interesting Lead Headline in mind, but are looking for others.

As we have gotten closer to April 8th (Election Day), each of our newly posted stories is quickly getting upwards of a 1000 unique views. So, your comments will be seen by the New Wentzvillian and YOUR NEIGHBORS.

You can also send a private message to the editor at Carter@NewWentzvillian.com

  1. NEA attacked me for 1. Complimenting one of their candidates for her excellent teaching for many years, 2. Asking what she knew about Commom Core other than the Myth vs Facts page WSD puts out, and 3. If she is so concerned about the WSD school board race to run;why hasn't she voted in the last 5 April school board elections? I think they are fair questions to ask. Please vote for Lares, Mayers, and Chu. ~ Spencer

  2. I have endorsed Rob Hussey in Ward 1 and Linda Wright in Ward 3 for Alderman. Both of these people have the professional background and community service to offer a great benefit to Wentzville. We need hard working dedicated people that listen to the people and are not tied to special interest. Nick Guccione

    1. If this is the mayor, interesting. My vote is for Gossett and Stokes. What is not more special interest than the union/guccione. Just sayin.....

    2. What is not more special interest than unions, you say? How about the private agendas of PACS such as the home builders association or the board of Realtors. Stokes is stuffing his pockets with their money to "get things done" without the full board knowing about it. Employees are afraid to do their jobs so they cave in to the bully to get his agenda addressed. He is a big fat loser!

    3. Be informed. What does Hussey do? Oh yeah, realtor. Guccione just wants to have control of Wentzville. Those are the facts. I was at a meeting once and he said, "I am the CEO of Wentzville." Really. So if what you are saying is true, Stokes can pass laws by himself?Approve building agendas? I think not. It takes more than just him.~Hard working mother of 2.

  4. Mother, do not be a fool for special interests! Your children will thank you later. If you were educated on fourth class cities you would know that the mayor has no power if only to break a tie. Till Cheryl kross switched sides it was gossett, stokes, gard and shryock running the city with their personal agendas such as an audit firm, CVS pharmacy, policy changes, etc. Where was the mayors power???? Pleased be informed before you vote on Tuesday.....all incumbent should go.

    1. If his recruits get in, then he has his power he wants. Like mother said, guccione would get his CEO status.

  5. We have word from Alderman Stokes and the Server concerning the "Buffalo Wild Wings Incident." The piece should be up today or tomorrow.

    1. I would like for you to also look into husseys time at the city of Dardeene. He was fired. So why do we want their leftovers? Since they are running smear campaigns, for that alone I will not vote for them. Code of ethics violations are already waiting for Wright. Hope gucc and hussey help her pay for them. Pathetic.

    2. We looked into Dardenne Prairie and no one seems to be talking. It looks like standard changing of the guard type stuff. If you can provide something more than what has already been reported on -- WE are all ears. ASIDE -- most code of ethics violations are understood not to be newsworthy unless there is a major violation.

  6. Code of ethics issues, REALLY? This current Wentzville Board is full of ethics violators, can't wait for more press on these issues. Seriously folks, all incumbents should be voted out on Tuesday. Don't be fooled by the villain, his mouth will be shut soon enough by the voters. Hopefully the truth will set them all free! Theres a lot of dirt that has yet to surface....glad to see the new w looking for the grime!

  7. How about our Mayor getting away with looking at porn on the citys computer? Run with that...
