New Wentzvillian Seeks Information Regarding Rick Stokes and Other Wentzville Alderpersons

The New Wentzvillian will be following all of the Wentzville Alderpersons' activities on a continuing basis.  Our editor recently requested interviews with each and every one of the Wentzville Aldermen.  So far Alderpersons Kross and Shryock have met for discussions and the New Wentzvillian is very thankful.

Forest Gossett and Michael Hays have agreed to meet soon.  However, Chris Gard and Rick Stokes, so far, have ignored New Wentzvillian requests to meet.  We hope Aldermen Stokes and Gard will quickly set up appointments with our editors.

In the mean time the New Wentzvillian would like to hear from any Wentzville citizens (or others) who have information to share about Alderman Rick Stokes.  We are very keen to hear ANYTHING relative to Mr. Stokes since Alderman Stokes has recently told the New Wentzvillian that it is not allowed to communicate with him at his work email address.

The New Wentzvillian filmed Alderman Stokes at a candidate event last year; here is the video in case you do not know who he is:

Frankly, the New Wentzvillian's objective is to draw down a spotlight on each of the alderpersons in Wentzville that seem to be giving Wentzville's mayor a difficult time with his agenda.  This past year, Mayor Guccione won his election with a very convincing margin and has A LOT of political capital relative to the voters of Wentzville.

It seems that many of the current alderpersons pushed heavily for another mayoral candidate in that election -- even collectively riding on his float during a parade -- however, their efforts evidently did not bring about their desired outcome.  Apparently this did not set well with many of them and they either consciously or subconsciously want to punish the winner of the election -- Mayor Guccione.

This is no witch hunt; rather, it is an attempt to correct what the New Wentzvillian sees as shameful inequities.  Inequities that stem from some of the aforementioned aggrieved aldermen shamelessly ascribing to the malicious and reckless musings contained in another local Wentzville blog.  A blog that cares nothing about fair and balanced journalism, and instead focuses on rumor, hatred, libel and wanton disregard for any attempt at objectivity or truth.

Please assist the New Wentzvillian in formulating fair and balanced coverage of each of Wentzville's fine alderpersons.  Please email us at carter@NewWentzvillian.com or Call us at 636-916-4040.

We will focus on Alderman Chris Gard in the coming days.

  1. The New Wentzvillian is to start routinely sending a hardcopy edition by mail to all registered Wentzville voters with Aldermanic activities and other updates. This, of course, will be a free service. We are very excited to educate Wentzville's voters.

  2. We have had some very surprising feedback from this post. The New Wentzvillian is excited about future posts and voter mailings. New Wentzvillian having coffee with some Stokes Supporters and some on the other side. Should be the first fair and balanced news blog in Wentzville in quite some time

  3. Info on stokes....during his campaign he came by my house and we had an interesting discussion. He gave me the feeling he was on the take when I asked him about campaign contributions. He sped off in his car, he was so mad at me. And yes he introduced himself as alderman stokes, ward 3!

  4. there is plenty on both Stokes and Gard so if they don't submit to your meeting please advise and I will give you enough ammo to write a novel. I happened to be sitting by these 2 as well as their mayoral choice during the campaign and I got lunch plus a lot more. If you should get the interview, ask Stokes the real reason City Administrator Wright is no longer working in Wentzville; like I said more than a novel full of hidden items and lack of CONDUCT!

  6. How quiet it has gotten on the other side. It is amazing how Mr. Fiction dummies up when something about him or his dummies come out just like an ostrich puts his head in the sand, Mr. Fiction believes if he shuts his trap for a week or two it will go away. Thank you Michael Carter for doing this blog. Keep it up.

  7. I heard a rumor while waiting in line at dierbergs....the person in front of me was talking about how much corruption there is on this board. The mayor needs to put his foot up some peoples but and fast as we have become a laughing stock....I heard that there was a problem building the new pool...the city was not supposed to put it where it is....lots of rock, extra cost, possible kickbacks on contracts.

  8. The New Wentzvillian has looked into some concerns about the new pool. We are suspicious of opening it for a day or a week at what seems to be a significant expense. Some say upwards of $20,000.00 JUST TO LOOK AT THE POOL. Talked with one alderman about this and look to add in a piece here soon

  9. What about the $90,000 the new city manager is paying his buddy to manage the pool construction? The board fired the old engineer and hired this construction manager that doesn't appear to be an engineer ( just a buddy of the new manager). My guess is the board will have to hire another engineer... Who will have to pay for this??? I bet we will.. Dateline should do a show on the fleecing of Wentzville. This should be investigated.

  10. The employees should not be afraid to speak out about this "fleecing"...they have a new policy now to protect them from retaliation. I would like to hear some of this first hand myself, but not from the alderman. They are the ones pilfering the treasury.

  11. Have you heard that the City Administrator fired the interim Finance Director because she refused to give him a PO to pay Cochran Engineering? The interim Finance Director is also an attorney and she told the City Administrator that what he was asking her to do was illegal, and then he fired her. There was a complaint filed regarding the Cochran Engineering road project by another city employee, the complaint was filed with the state and there is suppose to be an investigation/audit regarding how the Board has handled Cochran Engineering.

  12. Hmmmm...this doesn't seem right. If I were her, I'd sue the city...if she's an attorney, she should know exactly what she needs to do... good luck to her.

  13. "This is no witch hunt" masked as a fact finding mission. Very funny.
